EcoVadis Embeds ESG Ratings in Vertice Procurement Platform
Vertice will surface EcoVadis ESG scores inside purchase workflows covering 250,000 contracts, making supplier sustainability data part of the buying decision.

Waypoints
EcoVadis ratings cover more than 175,000 companies across over 180 countries.
Vertice's platform spans more than 250,000 negotiated contracts and over 32,000 vendors.
Vertice becomes EcoVadis' first AI procurement orchestration partner.
Vertice was founded in 2021 and is based in London.
EcoVadis ratings covering more than 175,000 rated companies will sit directly inside Vertice's procurement workflows under a partnership the two firms announced, making Vertice the ratings provider's first AI procurement orchestration partner.
The deal moves supplier sustainability data out of standalone dashboards and into the point of purchase. EcoVadis ESG ratings and scores will appear alongside Vertice's own data on pricing, peer benchmarks, contract terms and risk, available to buyers at the moment they raise a purchase request.
Who are the two parties?
London-based Vertice, founded in 2021, runs an intelligent procurement platform that lets enterprises review, analyze and negotiate purchases. The platform covers more than 250,000 negotiated contracts across a base of over 32,000 vendors.
EcoVadis operates one of the widest sustainability rating networks in the market. Its rated universe spans more than 175,000 businesses across more than 180 countries, with assessments covering environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
The scale of the two networks defines the potential reach of the integration. A procurement team negotiating through Vertice can now pull a verified sustainability score on a vendor without leaving the workflow or consulting a separate ESG platform.
What problem does the integration address?
According to Vertice, the core failure mode the partnership targets is ESG data sitting on a separate platform and being overlooked when buying decisions are made. Ratings exist, but they arrive too late or not at all in the purchase request stage.
Embedding the scores at the request stage changes the sequence. Buyers weigh ESG performance against price and commercial terms in the same view, rather than reconciling two systems after the decision.
Roy Tuvey, CEO and Founder of Vertice, said:
"Our agentic AI orchestration platform can now deliver robust and extensive ESG data alongside our own data on price, commercial terms and wider risk factors to hit both ESG objectives and cost savings goals. Customers will receive a more comprehensive view of their vendors, meaning smarter, more rounded purchasing decisions every time."
The claim pairs ESG objectives with cost savings in a single platform claim — a positioning that reflects procurement's budget pressure as much as its compliance agenda.
Annette Gevaert, SVP Alliances & Partnerships at EcoVadis, added:
"A resilient supply chain relies on sustainable procurement. By embedding trusted, verified sustainability data directly into the purchasing workflow, our partnership with Vertice ensures ESG impact is evaluated right alongside price and commercial terms – every time a decision is made."
Why does the 'first partner' label matter?
The announcement marks Vertice as EcoVadis' first AI procurement orchestration partner. That designation signals EcoVadis is building a distribution channel for its ratings beyond buyer portals and direct enterprise subscriptions.
For rated suppliers, the integration raises the stakes of assessment outcomes. A weak EcoVadis score now surfaces automatically at the purchase request stage for Vertice customers, where it previously might never have been reviewed.
The partnership also reflects a broader consolidation of procurement tooling, in which spend analytics, contract intelligence, risk screening and now ESG ratings converge into single workflow platforms rather than parallel systems.
What comes next?
Neither company disclosed rollout timing, pricing terms or the number of Vertice customers with immediate access to the EcoVadis data layer. The companies also did not say whether deeper integrations, such as automated vendor scoring thresholds or ESG-weighted vendor recommendations, will follow the initial data embed.
The milestone to watch is adoption: whether Vertice's 32,000-vendor customer base converts the embedded ratings into purchasing criteria, and whether EcoVadis signs further orchestration partners on similar terms.
